Orange Eyes

Orange Eyes

There's 9 week left until the Ohio Bigfoot Conference in Salt Fork State Park, so I'm going to do a blog about a different Ohio monster until then, and here's number 4: Orange Eyes.

Orange Eyes is an 11 foot tall, bigfoot-like creature said to live in central Ohio. It has been seen near Ruggles Road, where the Charles Mill Lake Monster was also seen.

Orange Eyes was first seen on March 28, 1959, at Charles Mill Reservoir. It "rose from the ground of fog" in front of three teenagers. The creature ran past two people while they were out fishing in 1991.

Some people though Orange Eyes lived in a tunnel, but that was destroyed in the '40s and '60s by highway construction. Some people though it lived in the woods behind the Cleveland Zoo, but others thought it lived near Blue Bridge at Ruggles Road. What do you think?

                                                       It's old Orange Eyes!

The Loveland Frogmen

Loveland Frogmen

There's 9 weeks left until the Ohio Bigfoot Conference in Salt Fork State Park on April 26, so I'm going to do a blog about a different Ohio Monster each week until then, and here's number 3: The Loveland Frogmen.(Sorry this one is a week late.)

The "Frogmen" were first seen in Clermont County in 1955, just on the outskirts of Loveland, OH. They were described as creatures that looked like men, but they had frog faces, and wrinkles on their heads instead of hair. they also carried "wands" that shot blue sparks.

The first sighting occurred when a business man saw one of the creatures at 3:30 in the morning. He saw "three bipedal creatures by the side of the road. They were 3 to 4 feet tall, had leathery skin, and had webbed hands and feet." One of the frogs lifted a "wand" above it's head and shot sparks as the man left.

A police officer named Ray Shockey saw one of the creatures seventeen years later, on March 3,…

The Green-Clawed Beast

GREEN-CLAWED BEAST

There's 12 weeks left until the Ohio Bigfoot Conference in Salt Fork State Park on April 26, so I'm going to do a blog about a different Ohio monster each week, and here's number 2: The Green-Clawed Beast.

The Green-Clawed Beast wasn't actually seen in Ohio, but it  was in the Ohio River.  The monster grabbed Mrs. Darwin Johnson while she was swimming. Her friend Mrs. Chris Lamble was there with her.

Johnson struggled against the creature until it left when she hit Mrs. Lamble's inner tube. When they got out of the water, Mrs. Johnson had scratches and a green, hand shaped stain on her knee.

The Green-clawed Beast sound similar to the Gill Man from the movie The Creature From the Black Lagoon. The movie was released in 1954, one year before the encounter in the Ohio River.

Cryptids: The Owlman

The Owlman is a moth man-like creature seen in Cornwall, England. Cornwall is located near Fal mouth Bay, where the sea monster Morgawr is seen.

The people who saw it said it looked like a man, but had wings instead of arms. The head and face of the creature was described as "unnatural" and had a gaping black mouth, with large eyes, and pointy ears.
The Owlman seems totally unnatural, but, if it is somehow related to owls, the "pointy ears" on it's head  might make some sense, like in the picture below.

If the Owlman is real, it could be some supernatural creature. It is usually seen around an old graveyard and church, located on a Ley Line.  For more Owlman info, Check out these bo…

Cryptids: The Fouke Monster

The Fouke Monster is an 8 foot tall, three toed, Bigfoot-like creature seen near Fouke, Arkansas. It was the inspiration for the 1972 movie The Legend of Boggy Creek.

The Fouke Monster was first seen when settlers arrived in the area, and they called it a "wild man." Later, when people were familiar with gorillas and other apes, they described it as looking like a tall, bipedal ape.

The small town of Fouke is located in Miller county, Arkansas, right where Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma meet. The area is surrounded with woods and swampland, the perfect habitat for a monster.

The most famous Fouke Monster sighting occurred in the 1960s, when the creature attacked Bobby Ford one night. Two families were living at the house, and one night the men went out to get rid of whatever was terrorizing them.  They shot at it and may have hit it, but it attacked Bobby Ford when he w…

A Letter to 1981

Dear People of 1981,

You'd be amazed how computers have changed since the 1980s. Back then it took about 2 hours for someone to get the days newspaper, and now you can get almost any news to come up on the internet in seconds. Theres also many other things to do, like search things, and theres Email, Youtube, Blogger, etc. Now we can even look at our homework online. We can play games, talk through Email and other things, and watch videos.

As you can see, theres now TONS of things to do on the internet, and it has come a long way since the 1980s.

Sincerely,
Tyler Houck
