New Bigfoot Book

Bigfoot: Exploring the Myth and Discovering the Truth is an all new book written by investigators Tom Burnette and Rob Riggs. It is the newest Bigfoot book(published March 8, 2014).

Here is the description:

"Join investigators Tom Burnette and Rob Riggs on their amazing adventure into the wild where the mysterious creature known as Bigfoot dwells. Over the past 20 years, these two men have dedicated themselves to the search for Bigfoot in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina and the swamplands of Southeast Texas.

Drawing on forty-plus years of combined field study, Tom and Rob present their personal stories, ethnographic research, and educated theories surrounding Bigfoot. Revealing a substantial collection of evidence supporting Bigfoot's existence, this book provides details of the creature's history, habitats, and behaviors. With thought-provoking discussions on Bigfoot's elusiveness and potential psychic powers, Bigfoot goes far beyond the myth to the reality of this enigmatic ape-man."

About the authors:

Tom Burnette has written multiple articles on his Bigfoot encounters and has been a regular guest on such radio shows as Let's Talk Paranormal, Tom Biscardi's Bigfoot Lives, and Billy Willard's Sasquatch Watch online radio. He lives in North Carolina.

Rob Riggs is a twenty-five year veteran journalist, has authored the non-fiction book In The Big Thicket , and has contributed to another non-fiction book, Weird Texas (Sterling Press, 2005). The Hunt for Wolfmen and Werewolves

Werewolves aren't real.... or, are they? People all around the United States see bipedal, 7-foot tall, wolf-headed creatures all the time. Said to be "werewolves" by some, they are very muscular, have a body that is errily humanlike, have a wolf or dog-like head, and have dog legs.

The most famous of all dogmen is the Beast of Bray Road, seen near Bray Road in Wisconsin. Sightings of the creature really took of in the '80s and '90s, and prompted Linda Godfrey to right about it in the local paper. Since then, she has become the foremost authority on modern day werewolf sightings. She has written many books, including The Beast of Bray Road(2003),
Hunting the American Werewolf(2006),  The Michigan Dogman(2010), and Real Wolfmen(2012).

                                                      Linda Godfrey's Books

These creature have been featured on several TV shows, including History channel's MonsterQuest(the episodes "American Werewolf and America's Wolfman), The Real Wolfman, and an episode of Destination America's Mountain Monsters.

The werewolve's like to chase cars, too. But, they usually veer off and go back into the woods after a few terrifying moments. They also try to trick people, by, oh, stealing a chicken jsut to lure you into it's trap. That'll make you want to go out at night, won't it?

The Legend of the Fouke Monster

Anyone who's seen the 1972 movie The Legend of Boggy Creek knows what the Fouke Monster is. The monster has been seen near Fouke, Arkansas, since settlers first arrived in the area. It is described as a large, hairy, man-like creature similar to Bigfoot. It is sometimes said to have only three toes on it's feet.

The most famous incident with the Fouke Monster occurred in 1971, when it harassed the Ford family just days after they had moved into their new home in Fouke. The creature reached through the window while Elizabeth Ford was sleeping on the couch and tried to grab her. Her husband and his brother, Don, shot at the creature and thought they hit it. Another family was with the Fords at this time, and when Bobby Ford heard them screaming in the house, he went to see what was happening. As he ran onto the porch, the creature grabbed him and threw him onto the ground. Bobby was taken to a Texarkana hospital and was treated for mild injuries and shock after the incident.

Years after the Ford incident, Cryptozoologist Lyle Blackburn went to Fouke and wrote a book called The Beast of Boggy Creek, which was published in 2012.
