UFO and Bigfoot Hunters Gather in Massachusetts

The Greater New England UFO Conference took place last weekend in Massachusetts, and the Sentinel & Enterprise News ran a story covering the event this week.

It reads:

LEOMINSTER -- Aliens, Bigfoot, and the paranormal descended on City Hall over the weekend for the sixth year of the Greater New England UFO Conference. 'It's a place for us around here to gather instead of flying out to California,' said Tennie Komar of Shirley. She was one of hundreds who attended the two-day conference that began Friday and featured a lineup of speakers who covered topics including the science of potentially life-sustaining planets, paranormal filmmaking, and cryptozoology. Organizer Susan McNeill Spuhler said the conference attracts people from the region and sometimes as far out as Arizona and Canada. Over the years, the number of attendees has grown. 'It's a comfortable environment to talk about their experiences,' she said. Spuhler, who grew up in Leominster, said the c…

TCZ Creature Feature: “America’s Loch Ness Monster” (2003)

This is an older documentary on Champ, the supposed monster of Lake Champlain. It is called America's Loch Ness Monster, since that is what Champ is commonly called.

This has always been one of my favorite cryptid documentaries. Part of that is probably due to the nostalgia factor since this is the first documentary on Champ that I ever saw; in fact, it was the first time I ever heard of the legend of Champ. In the clip below it appears as an episode of Wild Discovery, though every time I saw it (on Planet Green, now Destination America), it had a different title sequence and didn't appear to be part of any series. On the TV it always says it was produced in 2003. If anyone knows anymore about this, if it was part of a series, please let me know in the comments.

The documentary follows several investigators and we get to hear about their experiences and theories about the monster. Several skeptical investigators and featured as well and I think that makes a good balance. We al…

Three Ogopogo Reports in September

Ogopogo, the legendary monster of Canada's Okanagan Lake, was reported three times in September 2018.

Two brothers, David and Keith Halbauer, were with their families on October 12 when they saw a "black form" that was "cylindrical" come out of the water. They said the object they saw looked like a "giant snake" and was 50 feet long.

Another report came after someone spotted something from the lake from the 22nd floor of a highrise downtown. The third witness saw something from a balcony on Lakeshore Road in Kelowna. They recorded "what appears to be the creature's head."
