GREEN-CLAWED BEAST
There's 12 weeks left until the Ohio Bigfoot Conference in Salt Fork State Park on April 26, so I'm going to do a blog about a different Ohio monster each week, and here's number 2: The Green-Clawed Beast.
The Green-Clawed Beast wasn't actually seen in Ohio, but it was in the Ohio River. The monster grabbed Mrs. Darwin Johnson while she was swimming. Her friend Mrs. Chris Lamble was there with her.

Johnson struggled against the creature until it left when she hit Mrs. Lamble's inner tube. When they got out of the water, Mrs. Johnson had scratches and a green, hand shaped stain on her knee.
The Green-clawed Beast sound similar to the Gill Man from the movie The Creature From the Black Lagoon. The movie was released in 1954, one year before the encounter in the Ohio River.
