In 1977, several people in the town of Dover, Massachusetts, reported seeing an odd, almost unearthly-looking being that has come to be known as the Dover Demon. Two posts on this blog covering those sightings and some theories can be found at theses links - Part 1, and Part 2.
Most would think that the 1977 sightings were the only reports of this mysterious whatever-it-is. But, that may not be the case!
I'm currently reading Nick Redfern's book 365 Days of UFOs, and I found in it an interesting account of what may possibly be the Dover Demon. The encounter didn't occur in the 1970s, however - it happened in 2003.
On January 22, 2003, a teenage girl named Erika, who was walking home from a friend's house, saw something strange dart across the road. And that's really it. There are no other details with the report, except that Redfern says that Erika, knowing of the earlier sightings in the town, thought she had just seen the legendary "demon."
Did the mysterious Dover Demon - an alien, mannegishi, or something else - decide to pay a return visit to that Massachusetts town?
