Ohio Bigfoot Conference Update and more on Minerva Monster and Something In the Woods

The 24th Annual Bigfoot Conference is coming up on the 18th of this month, but next month Salt Fork State Park is going to have another, well, two actually, but the one I'm focusing on in this post is the Ohio Bigfoot Conference that is taking place on May 16.

This conference is one I've been looking forward to since last year. Speakers there will be:

John Kirk III
John is a cryptozoologist from British Columbia, Canada. He is author of In the Domain of the Lake Monsters and co-author of Discovering Cadborosaurus. He is president of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club(BCSCC). In recent years he has become very involved with Bigfoot research.

Loren Coleman
Loren has been investigating cryptozoology since 1960 and is author of many books, including Cryptozoology A to Z(with Jerome Clark), Bigfoot! The True Story of Apes in America, Monsters of Massachusetts, and many others, including some that will come out this year. He is director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Maine.

Jim Sherman
Jim Sherman is a Bigfoot Field Reserachers Organization(BFRO) investigator from Michigan.

Bob Gimlin
Bob Gimlin was with Roger Patterson on October 20, 1967 when he saw and filmed the Bigfoot Patty in Bluff Creek, California. Bob didn't talk about the encounter for many years but eventually started talking about it at events and such like the Ohio Bigfoot Conference. He was also a speaker there last year. Bob is not a liar!

David Floyd
David Floyd is a professor at Charleston State University. He has a natural interest in Bigfoot and stuff of the sort and researches the socio-religious and psycho-cultural aspects of the phenomenon.

The conference Facebook page also posted a while ago that there could be a sixth speaker announced also!!!

On Friday, May 15th, there will be a hike in the morning. There will be a VIP dinner with the speakers and special presentation by Loren Coleman for everyone who has a VIP ticket to the event. Friday night also has the meet and greet, VIP package pickup, and the premier of the Bigfoot movie Something in the Woods, that I think actually looks really good.

On Saturday, May 16th, overflow tickets will go on sale at 10 AM. Vendor booths for the event open at 11 AM, and the actual conference starts at 1 PM. After the speakers(so sometime Saturday night) the new Ohio Bigfoot documentary Minerva Monster will premier. I think it looks very good also. The documentary has been making the news quite a lot, I even found an article from last week in the Columbus Dispatch today.

On Sunday, May 17th, the Ohio Bigfoot Festival 2015 begins at 11 AM and will be until 2 PM. There is a free cook-out(although donations are recommended), "how to clinics" on track cating, camera technology, etc., and chainsaw carving by Snuffy Destefano.

If you can't tell already, I seriously can't wait for this event! It's gonna be AWESOME! It'll be great to meet everyone I haven't already and probably see a few familiar faces.
