NT News is reporting:
Looks like some kind of decomposing mammal. If it were a shark there would not be bones like the ribs as their skeletons are made of cartilage.
"An NT News reader spotted this monster from the deep at the Lee Point Beach, describing it as a 'fairly large' skeleton.
"Efforts to identify the Lee Point Kraken have so far proved fruitless.
"If you're an expert in marine life and able to help us out, drop the newsroom a line."
