The Loch Ness Monster - A "Camel-Horse?"

Nessie as a plesiosaur

There are many varying descriptions for the Loch Ness Monsters. I just got through reading about many of them in Peter Costello's In Search of Lake Monsters, and Nick Redfern has a new Mysterious Universe post about a Nessie sighting from 1932. It was first reported in the 1990s, when the witness was very elderly.

The witnesses were McP Fordyce and his fiancé. They had to travel to an area near Loch Ness, and decided to drive beside it on their way home. When they were driving, they saw something strange - not in the water, but on land! The creature, they said, looked like a "camel-horse", with a hump on its back, a long neck, small head, and it apparently had legs, not flippers. (If you read Costello's book, you will see that lots of witnesses say Nessie actually has legs, it seems, not flippers!)

You can read the whole story about this extremely strange sighting of an extremely strange critter on Mysterious Universe.
