Today I got Joedy Cook's newest book History of the Dogman, which I posted about earlier. This book isn't really about modern day Dogman sightings in the USA(examples: Michigan Dogman and the Beast of Bray Road), but it is about belief in Dogman-like beings in biblical and medieval times.
The book has many stories of cynocephalae(dog headed people) in ancient times. Later it gets more into the medieval "werewolf" scare in the 16th century. There is also a section of the book that is images of Dogman-like beings in ancient artwork.
I thought this book was really good. It would be great for someone interested in the history of Dogman sightings outside of the US or someone interested in ancient "mythical" creatures like cynocephalae.
