Book Review: Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science by Jeff Meldrum

Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science originally came out in 2003 as a TV documentary, created by Doug Hajicek, who later created History Channel's MonsterQuest. The book Sasquatch was written by Jeff Meldrum, a professor of anatomy and anthropology at Idaho State Univertsity. Meldrum is also author if the Sasquatch Field Guide and is currently working on another book on Bigfoot and other creatures in that category.
Jeff Meldrum

Meldrum's book covers things from the original Bigfoot "flap" of 1958, the Skookum cast, footprint evidence, DNA evidence, Native American stories and beliefs, the Patterson-Gimlin film, and many other things.

This book does not deal so much with actual eyewitness accounts of Sasquatch but more with what evidence there is for the existence of the creature, and there is actually quite a lot that would match what an ape or hominid creature would do if it were living in the wilds of North America.
