Even the Land Down Under has a Bigfoot running around. This creature is called the Yowie, a name changed from yahoo, and, like Bigfoot and Sasquatch, Yeti and Abominable Snowman, the Yowie and yahoo are names for the same creature.
Yowies are usually described like a North American Bigfoot. The normal description of a Yowie is an ape like creature, 7 feet to 12 feet tall, with very large, human-like feet. Descriptions of Yowie feet by witnesses, however, do not always match those like Bigfoot. The Yowie is also supposed to have a wide, flat nose. Some say the Yowie is shy, but others say it is aggressive.
The first Yowie report is from the 19th century and sightings continue to this day.
Most suspect that the Yowie, if it is real, is some type of ape. Another theory, though, that I be thought of is that the Yowie is some type of human like marsupial. Could be.
